In my opinion if you have or will subject the tractor to run times of at least an hour once started and the engine was pulled at anywhere from 1/2 load to full load during the majority of run time a 50 hour dump of the break-in oil is my recommendation. However, if the vendor of the overhaul parts, namely the piston rings ,has some other recommended break-in period I would follow that.

If you used a break-in oil, work that engine under load for a plus 100 hours. Avoid idling the engine. Keep coolant temperature up. Do a brief cool down after each work session!

My experience is watch the coolant temp. Work it hard with up and down RPMs (gradual adjustment over time, not immediate cycling) for at least the first 10 hours. If the coolant shows signs of excessive engine heat, back off the RPMs/load till it cools down and go after it again, Change the oil and filter and go about your business. After that, keep the (constant) load, at PTO RPMs, on the light-medium side for first 50 hours.
