can't find new wear plates for my bar mower

Hi All,

I live in the UK and can't find a supply of wear plates for my International B23 bar mower? it looks like I will have to repair the one's I have by welding a new upstanding on them.
Do you know where I can buy them?

If North American mowers used the same parts, you could take dimensions of your old wear plates and see if www.cuttingcomponents.com has comparable and if they can ship to UK.

I have tried the above USA contacts they say they do not post to England, has anyone found a supplier that will post to England?

If you're referring to the knife backing plates you were talking about in your earlier posts, they're one of the few pieces that's universal between most sickle machines, because backset and guard spacing is pretty much standard for 90% of sickle mowers. Thus, any Case-IH, NH, Deere, etc. dealership should be able to get some. I know for sure the ones from a New Holland haybine fit the B23, C28, etc. IH mowers because I've used them. Try going to your nearest dealer and asking after these part numbers (bottom of pic). Not 100% sure I've labelled the manufacturers according numbers correctly, but pretty sure I have. If not, just have them run through these numbers until they find one that works in their system. Or if they order from A&I (likely, as A&I is a global aftermarket part supplier), the A&I part number is 529-016.
