What is going on with this cultivator?

I just picked up this old cultivator for 200 bucks, I have no clue what brand it’s mostly blue but has had some orange on it and I’m trying to set it up for (2) 30 inch rows. The cultivator second from the left just drops to the ground when you pick it up on the three-point and they’ve had some welding brackets put on it. Am I missing a stop somewhere? And should I just pull it out and use one set up to go in between the row instead of trying to make two fit in that space?

Something different about the green circled bolt? They are the lifters. Is that one bolt sheared and the center wedged up?

Or any of the arms different lengths?

Not sure what that welded on angle is all about, I wouldn’t want it there.

Good catch. I’m going to check it out. I think I’m going to takeoff one set of arms and just run three instead of trying to fit two of them into row space.

That was it! I love forms for stuff like this. Now I need to figure out what model this thing is and find a manual just to have it, and I should be cultivating corn here in a couple hours.

That part number on the clamp comes up in the Ford 406-series cultivator parts diagrams. I believe that cultivator was built for Ford by Pittsburgh Forgings. It looks like you've got all the same shank assemblies, but keep in mind that shanks are similar enough between some brands that mixing and matching could have occurred over the cultivators years of use.

Its a hodgepodge of paint colors, Ford Blue, IH Red, Oliver Green and some non-Allis orange. I’ll check out the 406 model and see if there is a pdf for it.

I see part numbers ,The 133591 in tractor house description is a clamp.
Available in Quebec Canada at a dealer there . May be able to find out more detail from them .
