I grabbed 3 more of the Pocket sized Brochures from New Idea. One for the Mow/ditioner and 2 for Hay Rakes
I think that this model Mower Conditioner was also made for and sold by FORD
I have a Minneaplois Moline R1000 PTO Driven Hay Rake that was made by New Idea that I had bought with hopes to restore
I added a scan of the 253 Hay Mower because in was showrn on the back of the 400 Rake Brochure and I have 2 pictures of my R1000 Hay Rake. What there is of it

Dad's father owned a few pieces of NI equipment. Two manure spreaders, two side delivery rakes including a horse drawn model, and a number 10 corn picker. I suspect mostly due to pricing but there were a couple of dealers close by.

I've still got a spreader, two pickers and a running gear. I've had a Cut-Ditioner and 2 Uni Harvesters with a husking bed, sheller and a combine. Dad even had a New Idea square baler back in the 50s.

I did not know that they had a baler in the 1950's. I did know that in the 80's that IH sold their baler design to New Idea when IH was having a hard time of it and sold off most all the IH side line equipment
