Confused on A vs B physical dimensions

I have 2 Unstyled B's, and planning on picking up an Unstyled A soon. Since I never owned an A, I was checking dimensions to make sure it fit through the pole barn door. Anyway, everything I can find shows close to identical length and width (axles?), with the major physical difference being steering wheel height being 4" higher on the A. Curious if these dimensions are accurate, since everything also says that the B was basically a 2/3 scaled A. Am I missing something?

May just have to "DUCK " more with the A than the B when going thru door!!

The idea was to make mounted implements interchangeable. The earliest Bs were shorter and were lengthened for that reason.

If you have a pre 1938(or 37?) unstyled B will be a shorter frame length mine is a 38 dads is a 36 his is shorter so depending on what year unstyled b you are going off yes they could be the same length.

Width should be the same

Height will be the difference I can see in the radiator and the gas tank of the Bs. I cannot see in the A and the exhaust will be taller assuming it’s without modification. I also have a larger steering wheel off an R on my A and B and the exhaust is above the wheel.

A John Deere B was about 2/3 the power of an A of the same model year. The B would pull a two bottom plow where the A would pull a three bottom plow. The weight of a B might be a little more than the 2/3 proportion while the overall dimensions are close to the same so they could mount the same implements. The B will have smaller and lighter components ( axle diameter, gear width, engine displacement, tire size, etc. ) within nearly the same overall length, width and height of an A.
