I'm guessing that it's the clutch disc splines that are bad, weak spot in a mid BHave the crank welded and ground as a stroker

In most cases the rod center to center length has to be shortened or a piston purchased that has a higher position for the wrist pin in relation to the piston top to accommodate the stroke change.
