buyer beware reliableaftermarketpartsinc

Also known as Reliable Aftermarket Parts Inc.
I have bought several items from Reliable Aftermarket Parts and have only had one problem that a starter they advertised for a John Deere 350 Track Loader would not fit without modification. The main reason for my post is to let everyone know that they are operating under two company names. They also operate as "Stevens Lake Parts". I suspected this because they have the exact same pictures, stores are nearly identical, and are in the same city. I did further research for YELP reviews and both company names show up at the exact same street address.

beware of reliableaftermarketpartsinc if you are buying parts on ebay. Had a problem with an item where they charged exorbitant shipping charges which is o.k. as I knew it but what I didn't know was that they would wait 2 weeks to even ship it out. I figured that with the high charges they would get it out quick but no. I contacted them after I got the part to see if they would work with me the super high charges since it took so long but nope. This meant I had an unhappy customer. I did leave negative feedback which most companies take in and either respond or use it to improve their process if needed. Not these clowns - they just block you from ever doing business with them again. No sweat for me but it believe it shows they have poor customer service and don't care. if you look at their feedback you will see that have many issues with shipping as well as poor quality of parts.
I have ordered lots of parts from them with good results. However from another vendor I ordered a tractor cab door.... and got a huge pallet and enough 2/4s to build a small barn, along with the door. SO it price of the door was more for the small building than it was for the actual part.

8 plus year old thread with little value worthy of being brought to the top. It might not be totally accurate, but it looks like the original poster only made a few posts before leaving, the ones in this thread being the last ones that show. It doesn't appear he got much support for his side of things here in the replies.

People regularly post of issues with YT and PartsASAP as well, for both quality and shipping. And people complain about the OEM dealers as well. None of the sites mentioned here are scam sites, things happen with all of them. I have used a number of different vendors including the ones mentioned here. Every one of them has properly handled my complaints, when I had complaints. In the original post the purchase was through eBay, that could have an effect on how it got handled. We have no idea what the part was or what was an "exorbitant shipping charge". There are generally two sides to most stories and here we are only seeing one side, I like to see all the info and both sides. JMHO

I've used them before without a problem. It may be they were out of that part and were expecting a shipment and it took longer than expected to get it. As far as shipping it's gotten high no matter where you shop.

I don't know who resurrected an old post or why, but I can tell you this. If you're searching for a part on Amazon or eBay, and you know the company that's selling it, get off the internet and call them to order it directly. I needed a water pump, searched it and came up with one on Amazon from here, All States Ag Parts. I ordered it just because it was quick and easy. When it got here, it was the wrong part and I needed to send it back. I called All States and they told me Sorry, we can sell you the right one, but to return the other one and get a refund, you'll have to go through Amazon, not us. I eventually got it sent back and got a refund, but I can tell you from experience dealing with ASAP, it's a whole lot easier to deal with them on a return and refund than it is with Amazon. It cost me a whole lot more time and trouble than I saved by clicking Buy on Amazon.

I bought a part from them a while ago. It was missing something that it listed as included with the part. They gave me a partial refund, which I thought they were kind of cheap on, but they also gave me the option of returning it for a full refund. As far as returning parts ordered from Ebay, I've never had a problem. I email the seller, they request pictures of what was wrong with the item. Then they email me a return address label with prepaid return postage. I always try to use sellers with free shipping and top rated plus seller status.

Same experience here. I bought a part and I didn't get any indication of a shipment. I waited almost a week and sent a message. Their reply stated my part would not be available to ship for another week. I thought it was a rule violation to list something you didn't physically have possession of. Not real reliable for shipping or even mentioning the lack of items.

Several years ago I was looking for a bucket for my Kubota mini-excavator. I looked on ebay and found a bucket I needed made in Ohio by a company called AIM. The price was high I thought, but shipping was very reasonable. I called the company and the bucket was cheaper, but shipping was very high, so it made there price higher. The guy I talked to said buckets were exactly the same, said he can't match the ebay price so said to order thru ebay, which i did and am happy.
