Case 430 G188d injection pump seal installation tips?

I suspect that I screwed up the two seals installing the injection fuel pump.
Any installation tips to keep me from doing it again?
Many thanks. Trav.

PLENTY of SLICK LUBE on the pilot tube bore and the first seal. When that seal is inside the tube RIGHT, the pump will slide VERY EASILY over it. If you have to push HARD then that's the sign the REAR seal is rolled over and damaged. I slide the pump back and forth to make sure it slides easily and then know the rear seal is not rolled.

I wrap the shaft with saran wrap to protect the sharp edges as I install the seals on the shaft being sure to remove all of it after. Like DT says, plenty of lubriplate or such. Seals lips face away from each other of course & don't forget the oring on the flange. The "special" seal compressor tool is not required but patience to get it started in the pump smoothly is.

Thank you so very much for al of the great advice! I lubed the heck out of it with melling engine assembly lube and it slid together easily! Tractor was running shortly after that.
Many thanks again!
