My completely refurbished TO-30 was running better than it ever had. Brand new tires, rims, carb, seals, fluids, electronic ignition, one wire alternator, etc.
I was bush hogging my hillside when I ran into a hornets nest. I was at the top of my hill and I was able to turn the key off before jumping off. The terrain was almost flat at the top but the bush hog must have bucked and kicked the tractor out of gear. 200 feet later it was laying on its top. Front end completely demolished (but repairable). It busted the casting at the starter so its hanging loose. Busted the casting on the other side too. Hard to look at after hours and hours of work. I don't think the casting is fixable, but everything else appears either still intact or fixable. From the gear shift on back is fine, even the bush hog.
I'm not sure whether to scrap it or try to locate parts. I'm moving up to a 4wd with high/low gear range as my terrain is very steep in places.
