Year my tractor was made

B1022B is the mode number as you said. It says that it is a 3 cylinder 2000 tractor with a gasoline engine, a 6 speed transmission and non-live PTO. It doesn't tell us when it was made other than the model number starting with a B rather than a 2 says it was made sometime after 4/31/1968. The Tractor Number, also called the Serial Number, can tell us what year it was made. The Unit Number can tell us the exact date it rolled off the assembly line.

Tractor # is C319815

Unit # is 1K26B

Where do I find info on reading the Unit #? It appears to be I or 1, A, I or 1, 2, B.
I've been N Series for years, moved up to a 600 few years back, a 900 last year & now a 2000.
At this rate if I live to be 150 years old I may advance into one with Power Steering.

Unit numbers are formatted as number 0-9, letter A - M (but I is skipped) number 1-31, and letter A,B, or C.
The first digit is the last digit of the year it was built. Next is the month, A= January, B = February, etc. the next numeral is the day of the month., and the final letter is the shift, with the most common being B, for day shift.

So 1971, Jan 12, day shift?
Btw, Serial is C293031

Yes, 1A12B would be January 12, 1971 during the day shift.
C293031 is an early 1971 serial number that agrees with the unit number.
