Anyone have experience with Lindstron Splitting Rails?

They are available on Amazon and also their website for right at $1600 and $200 shipping. . I’m wondering if anyone owns these or has any personal experience and can vouch for the quality of the construction.

I’ve read lots of threads about people fabricating their own splitting devices, but I don’t think I’m gonna go that route

Thanks for any input regarding this product or any others that available

It may not look bad at first glance, but I see a number of down sides. Most every tractor will require some mods done before it will fit right. Awfully small wheels. My stands have three inch wheels and don't roll all that great unless the floor is really smooth. Having all that angle and slats to step over, around, and through while working in the center could get old quick. Looks like dirt, oil, and floor dry would be nearly impossible to sweep up until the job's over. (I guess a shop vac might help there)

To each his own I guess, but for my circumstances that's more cost than return.

I tend to agree.
Rare rare I have had one roll perfectly back together
Seems the rails wold actually make it harder to get it joined back
But I have never used rails just front stands an blocks for the back

I have thought of making my own. There are some YouTube videos of a guy splitting a JD 5520 for clutch replacement and he has a rolling jack he made from square/rectangle tubing, some steel plate, two 12 ton bottle jacks and four casters. (Pics of construction included) 2 Jacks $80 at HF, Four casters $40 Square tubing less than $200??

This is what I use for most utility size tractors. It's adjustable in all directions, and adaptable to work with almost anything. Easy to handle and store because when not in use it's just a pile of parts.

The YT parent company has a similar one available for $1,119. But sounds like the wrench in the works is that it has to be picked up at their store, I would guess this would be the store in Desoto IA just west of Des Moines. You would have to call to see if they have the ability to move one to one of their other locations. I agree with Harry that it likely will need some modification to adapt it to the majority of tractors. His point about the small wheels probably has less affect due to them rolling on the smooth angle iron. ASAP splitting stand
