hood width 8630 and 7710

Hello, I have a question about the width of the top hood on the 8630 and the 7710 tractors.
Are they the same?

I'm customizing an Ertl toy tractor to make an 8630 out of a 7710.
will it be correct? or do I have to use the bigger bodied tractor?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure about the width, but the hood on the 6 cylinder 8630 is definitely longer than the 4 cylinder 7710.

both the 4cyl and 6cyl engines seem to use the same type of parts and in configuration. So I think they would be the same width.

Thanks for the tip, I just bought one that was in rough shape. Looks like too much cutting and pasting to make it look right. I think I will end up using the 7710 body.
Here is a 7710 I just finished converting to a row crop.
