Trying to order a part through JD. It asked for my model. I think I made it mad.

Edit: I know I don't have to put in a model and can use the old parts site, it just made me chuckle that I put in my model and it said no.

If you think that makes you upset it doesn’t like my 4440 either and the 6430 premium is hit or miss

they only had 50 series and newer on the new website have to use jd parts on the old stuff you can still search parts once you find the number and see if anyone local has it just don’t put a model in

Older JD parts site still recognizes Model B. Every time I open the Older JD parts site I wonder if it will be my last time to get it to open. They keep limiting some functions on their parts site that once could be performed.

Same thing happens with my 2003 Massey Ferguson 451. AGCO does not recognize the model # on their internet website. Call my dealer and he says, I can have that part next week.

I wish they'd all just leave them alone. I was on the AGCO site yesterday for a part number on a White 2-105. You have to search by "parts book", not by model, but they've even changed that now so it's verticle instead of horizontal. It's easier to get a price and availability now, I'll say that much for it. I guess the IT guys have to justify their paycheck by making it look like they're doing something. The only sites that need to be updated are gubmint websites and they just keep limping along like it's 1999.

It’s easier for me to just have paper parts catalogs at the house . I have a book for pretty much everything I own /

I've got a few, but the trouble is, when parts have been subbed to something different later in production, and you have an earlier book, the book can be wrong.

Yes you can run into that thankfully with the John Deere when you type the old number In it automatically subs most of the time . It sure beats going blind staring at a computer screen
