Smart Phone, stuff everyone knows but me.

We are the opposite. We haven't owned a PC for over 10yrs, we do all of our personal computing needs with our phones.

Work laptop is a different story, but I can do a lot of mine from my Gov smartphone. SO can only do her SY job on her work laptop.

I'm just a weirdo. Still like a big screen & keyboard. Especially for video editing.

Do you know anyone using a Ulefone? Supposed to be a good replacement for my old CAT (branded) phone.

I do not, they just issue us regular old iPhones.

As we all favor. Though my horseless carriage doesn't eat and ____ when not working.
Now that everybody has a high def video camera, why aren't there any flying saucers photos?

Wish I still could use my original pocket sized flip phone. Took up no room and worked fine. Alas time marches on. Using my 2nd smart phone. It can do things I have no idea of. It is nice to access internet from anywhere for parts breakdowns, orders, whatever. The camera is fantastic. I will never use it or any other smart phone to their full capacity. The daughter on the other hand does and will.

I put it off as long as possible, but once I resigned myself to the inevitable, I'm firmly in the "wouldn't be without one" camp.

All the reasons mentioned above plus two that literally changed my life: Bluetooth connection to my hearing aids makes actually talking on the phone possible again, and texting.

Two HUGE advantages to texting: 1) If it's not time critical, I can text someone and they can get back to me when it's convenient; 2) There's a written record of what was "said". Particularly handy if I'm doing work for someone and/or when buying/selling.

Finally, just because you HAVE one doesn't mean it has to live in your pocket. Mine sits on the shelf in the den about 90% of the time. Only carry it if I'm traveling or expecting a reply or call.

Me too on the red part! Don't know how I failed to list that in my original post. Maybe because my RT aid is out for repair and it is the one that actually links the phone and other aid. D...n I miss it.

Before these aids I hadn't been able to hold a decent phone conversation is years.
