5320 Hour Meter Flashing All 8s

Just bought a really clean looking 2004 year model 5320. Straddle mount, with power reverser. The dash works fine, other than the hour meter just flashes a bunch of 8s. This doesn't seem to be an uncommon issue with these era tractors. Has anyone here experienced this? Fix or replace suggestions? It seems to be Deere part number RE232258, and $932. Thanks.

The instrument panel may need a reboot. I don't know that procedure. Have you talked to someone in service at John Deere?

Ag Pro said that the cluster needs to be repaired or replaced. Looking for anyone who has dealt with this issue.
