Should I buy it?

I suggest you get the correct Perkins manual for the engine as well as the MF 90 Operator's and service manuals before starting the project, so you have proper technical info at hand. The MF 90 parts book is available to use online at the AGCO site. If it works, the link below will take you to it.

Thanks Jim!

You made me realize that I don't even know if it is gas or diesel. Do you from looking at it?

I see two engines listed on tractordata.com
Perkins 5.0L 4-cyl diesel
Continental 4.0L 4-cyl gasoline
Massey Ferguson Super 90 Engines

So I need to confirm which engine it has and then go looking for the correct manual.

I did already buy these manuals this morning:

Thanks!

Or this guy Mike Harris may help. He seems like a legit guy from what I researched but I haven't talked to him yet.
Here is a vote against him, he has already given you incorrect information. He said valve lash decreases as an engine runs because valves stretch, this is a FALSE diagnosis. Valves lash decreases because the sealing face of the valve wears away as does the sealing face of the valve seat. In the rare case that a valve stretches it has been run in extreme conditions and is in the beginning stages of failure. A stretched valve usually shows thinning of the valve stem between the head of the valve and where it enters the guide. Valve lash increases due to wear in the valve train, the valve lifter base or cam lobe and any other points where two things rotate or rub against each other.

Your first video clearly shows an injection pump and no plug wires, for a couple things. It should be the Perkins 5.0 4 cylinder. You will need to pay attention to details and specifications when working on that engine. It will not be as forgiving as some.

The hard copy you purchased is a reprint of the actual MF service manual and that vendor does a good job based on the couple of theirs I have.

The electronic one is a copy of either the I&T MF-20 or the Newer I&T MF-201 manual. I&T is like a Cliff's notes version of the OEM manual. It may not have all the info. Sometimes they have something added or wording changed that helps. A new hard copy of the MF-201 can be found for $40 or less many places.

Got the MF-201

For the engine manual, this looks attractive, I'm thinking both the printed and pdf versions.

Is that the right one?

That is a site that will not link as the software is blocking it. It may be a competitor selling parts or a combination of words that the software doesn't like. Type the name out with an * between the letters.

Bear in mind, PartsASAP/YT often sell the same manuals and they provide this site for people to use free. If possible I would search for an actual Perkins manual.

The printed copy and pdf copy I was looking at are on
