Case DB 990 hyd relief fell apart

I got shot in the back of the leg with a pin when I dead-headed upper valve. Hyd still work but leak like crazy out the end where pin wss. Is this a replaceable assembly? How to do it?

So I found the kick out piston, 2 balls (how many are there?) and that hollow "pin". I assume everything else outside of it is gone. Can I buy replacement parts to get going again? Or just cap off the end to stop the leaking and keep going?

Snap ring must have failed.

Item 14 cracked from one detent hole to the snap ring groove releasing the assembly.. Really thin wall makes weak area of part (that lasted 50 years)

Broken at only 50 years? You should take it back to the dealer and demand a refund...

I reality, it might be easier to find a whole used valve to replace it with. Replace all the o-rings while you are at it to reduce leaks.

So to keep going until I get the replacement valve from our friend @jean claude marleau, I need to stop the trickle of oil and the minor burst of oil pressure when the cylinder dead heads. I don't have the end cap (Item 22), but can I just cover the end with a plastic pipe cap taped on to hold the oil? I noticed without the kick out piston, air is bleeding back thru the valve when the pump stops.
