Anybody have a international b 414 diesel? Looks like they would be a nice little tractor.

The dealer I worked for in the 60s sold a lot of them. The owners loved them. Lots of power for their size. They could be a little stubborn to start in the very cold. There is a glow plug fix.

Yep i had one several years back... It was a beast. It had no power so i had Dieseltech rebuild the injection pump. After that it was good

Nice to know someone rebuilds those. If I can't, I'll know who to go to. So far this one appears to be happy, not sure if it is a beast yet or not.

Your 414 looks great! In your picture with the yellow goo, is that from the crankcase or the transmission?

I always love pictures, but not necessary.

Mine appears to have water in the gearbox, that's why I was asking. Previous owner seemed to think it wasn't a big deal, but it bugs the heck out of me. I'm going to figure out how to fix that as well.

It's just condensation.. fill it with diesel/atf combo and run it around lightly and the drain it out and refill with correct oil

Do you know of any improvements that anyone's come up with to reduce or prevent this?

Run it hard and get it HOT to reduce condensation

Copy that. Will see if I can get most of it out in advance while changing fluids, and then work it.
