JD 212 pto belt idler- GONE????

Does anyone have photos of the spring and where it attaches for the arm that your deck drive belt goes through that is below the pto clutch on a JD 212. We changed engines but somehow we did not save the spring nor where it attaches. Any help would be great!

ok I got another idler pulley for the pto idler…BUT—- Now it seems that the spring for the belt that runs the differential idler pulley is missing. I have it up in the air but can see no attment point or spring. Help would be appreciated…

Thanks, I have replaced the engine, and have everything rebelled (manual for the 200 series really skirts tensioners and springs)! But now the last hurtle is…HOW AND WHERE DOES THE SECONDARY BELT IDLER SPRING ATTACH ON EACH END. I am not sure which spring I am looking for? I found one that appears broken with the hook left that is loose with an internal stop and not sure, if that’s it what the other end is like. Nothing on even YouTube talks in any detail about tensioners and NOTHING regaurding springs…..

🥳🥳🥳 Well, I believe it’s conquered. I made a spring for the secondary idler! Called and priced a new one which was a whopping $40 for a spring from my dealer! This must be JD 200 series Achillies Heal. I found springs laying on the parts machines I have and All had the same end broke off. So my 212 now has a 14 hrsp engine. Adjusting my PTO today and throwing shields on and it should be good to go…until the next issue.

For anyone wondering, there is nothing holding you back from putting different motors (the Kohler K) in different size 200 series machines. Re-belting is the biggest pain in the butt with out the fancy hoist to move and turn the machine 😁 especially in the land off sand and 6” of rain a week…
