Ford 4500 backhoe steel hydraulic lines

Bit of a head scratcher on the second steel pipe that feeds from the hydraulic pump. The parts catalog calls it "D4NNJ990D4990A Tube AND expansion chamber France" The parts illustration looks like mine, I see the tube, but no "expansion chamber". Just looks like a steel tube. Now it also lists a 7707263 hose alternative, for the Non-France tractor....Well my tractor isn't from France, looks like it has the steel tube, and I see no "expansion chamber"....what gives....this steel tube is cracked. When I took it off, half the the threads on the pretzel pipe it connects to and is the first line off the pump peeled off as if it was glued on the pipe seperatley...so I have to replace that now as well....love this old stuff!

Vane pump and gear pump use different tubes.
Yes. I have since learned that the vane pump was replaced with a gear pump. So the line on the right runs about $450...I wonder if that crumbled fitting can be replaced? It uses a thick rubber washer. On the pipe on the left, yes the steel version you see was used with some sort of expansion chamber this tractor doesnt have. The tractors without the expansion chamber used a hose version that I was able to find NOS.

The line on left on mine has been replaced using hyd hose. Size is #14 JIC witch is hard to find size. Male end threads look like need cleaned up and be ok. No oring used on JIC fittings.
If you look close you will see that approx half the threads are gone! thanks for the tip!
