Rookie Mistake - 1979 Ford 4600 ignition switch

TrialAndError

New User
I made a rookie mistake and my Lucas 128SA ignition switch became unplugged before I could take a photo of which terminals the wires plugged into. I have 2 of the 6 wires figured out, but I am needing help identifying where the other 4 wires go.

Can anyone help me identify them or have any tricks to identifying? From the photo of the ignition switch numbered, I have position 1 and 2 figured out. From the photo of the wires left, I know the white wire with the yellow connector is a transmission safety switch wire but not sure which terminal to plug it into. As for the Red/Brown, Green/White, and double white wires, I am not sure what they ultimately lead to from the harness.

Any help is appreciated!

Using an ohm meter to test continuity between switch terminals is how I would start. One wire will be from the battery- always 'hot'. It will go on the terminal that has continuity with other terminals in all the various key positions. So, find that terminal first. Then one terminal will have continuity only in the 'start' position. It will go to the starter solenoid or a neutral safety switch. Find the wire at that position and check it for continuity with the wires at your key switch. One wire will be ignition power. It would be the wire from either, the fuel solenoid on the pump, or the ignition coil if a gas engine. Find a wire in that location. It will go on the terminal that has continuity with the battery terminal in the run position. I'm not sure what specifically any other wires go to, but what I said should get you started. Mark.

#1- 12volt feed into ignition switch shared with feed to light switch. #2-optoinal equipment 12 volt to accessories. #3-thermostart. #4-Guages and warning lamps. $5-neutral safety switch/starter solenoid. I'm not 100% sure on #4(if it feeds temp/fuel gauge. It's been a few months since i had to figure out my 3910.
