Florida Solar panels questions

I agree there shouldn’t be subsidies for any energy service. It should be fair across the board, but that would mean oil, gas, and nuclear would also lose their handouts.

Who said that fossil and nuclear are subsidized?

US energy production plus up to 8000MW of imports from Canada and Mexico .
Fossil has to be there to backup wind and solar when they fail daily .

No it is not needed. It is beyond gov't. control. industry, individuals, local gov'ts. other countries are all on the renewables band wagon. We just have a temporary segment here that is doing all they can to slow the process.

Just because there's a bandwagon doesn't mean there's not subsidies. "Getting with the program like most other countries" is absolutely more government control- over 2 trillion USD worldwide from governments from 2020-2024. https://www.iea.org/reports/state-of-energy-policy-2024/key-findings
