Higher subsidies for renewables would save all of us thousands.I agree there shouldn’t be subsidies for any energy service. It should be fair across the board, but that would mean oil, gas, and nuclear would also lose their handouts.
Maine is too far north for solar to be profitable! it belongs in AZ or FL

But that is true only if you ignore all the evidence that it is profitable!
Unfortunately just one state can not turn the situation around. The US just needs to get with the program like most other countries.It's already the highest by far and I'm not saving thousands.

Fossil has to be there to backup wind and solar when they fail daily .
