WD Hand Clutch

The pin at the base of the hand clutch has worked its way out. I can wiggle the handle and push it back in, but it just works out again. Is that pin threaded? or what holds it in place? Thank you

My guess a cotter pin wore out,sheared and fell out. Push the pin back into the hole and install a new cotter.

The pivot pin/shaft for the hand clutch lever itself ?? It's a 7/8" diameter shaft I think and just presses into the transmission housing. It should be leaking oil if it is that loose and has oil in it. Might need to remove the right hand side frames to make a new shaft and drive it into the hole til it's tight.

You might try removing the pin and cleaning it and the hole and installing it with a high strength loctite. May have to partially drain the oil out to keep it from running out the hole as you are working on it.

A 1/2" bolt of an exact correct length could be used as a press with a nut threaded on the bolt and unthread the nut to push the pin back in where it belongs, using the right side frame to push against. That could remain a permanent fix too.

Good idea, worth a shot if the fit is still tight enough. Again, clean and loctite it.
