So no wars for oil then? That'd be new.I agree there shouldn’t be subsidies for any energy service. It should be fair across the board, but that would mean oil, gas, and nuclear would also lose their handouts.
After working on solar installations for close to 20 years, some of the arguements really puzzle me.I can't ever recall working on any subsidized jobs, but there had to have been a few.My friend that I worked for told me to never debate with the haters, they will never let facts get in the way of their views. That's why I stay out of most people talking about it.It is very entertaining to read some of the arguements though.Seeing dozens upon dozens of installations that pay for themselves had me convinced 15 years ago.Same thing with our electric car.Picked up our new one a week ago.The new one is an upgraded version of the old one.I could go deaf listening to all the screaming about how they never work out,My wife likes that $15-$20 dollars per month to plug it in versus the $150+ per month for gas in her Lincoln.
This topic AGAIN?! Seems like it's been beaten to death. Look if you don't want solar no one is forcing to get it. this non sense about others paying is just a red herring. Some of you are the same old naysayers spouting the same old tripe. Times are changing get over it.
I'm in SW Mich. been off the grid for 40yrs. SOLAR makes it possible.
Does that include no more state and federal mandates and subsidies for ethanol and bio-diesel too? That could crash the US corn and soybean markets by at least a dollar per bushel.I agree there shouldn’t be subsidies for any energy service. It should, if people what them gone for the rest of the renewables... all is fair in love and war.Does that include no more state and federal mandates and subsidies for ethanol and bio-diesel too? That could crash the US corn and soybean markets by at least a dollar per bushel.
We are being forced! Government orders the installation and pays the subsidies, and we pay the government with taxes. This topic AGAIN?! Seems like it's been beaten to death. I can understand that reasoning: Weight, attachment mechanism affecting roof shingles to name a couple.I have heard insurance company’s are not insuring houses with solar panels on roofs in Florida.
Odd how nuclear construction is on budget and on time in China , Korea and in the UAE …..I love reading stuff from the interweb nuclear power experts

Yes please. I really don’t want my tax dollars going to any subsidies. Growing crops to burn seems silly. Of course so much farm machinery is geared towards those two crops, I don’t know how those machines translate to food crops.Does that include no more state and federal mandates and subsidies for ethanol and bio-diesel too? That could crash the US corn and soybean markets by at least a dollar per bushel.
What?! Take welfare away from us farmers? That happens to everybody else, not us. We're patriotic conservatives! We deserve our welfare! You'd better get your mind right or get off this site.Does that include no more state and federal mandates and subsidies for ethanol and bio-diesel too? Even if they were . Not 5 times over budget and 3 times longerI seem to recall that at least for China, the latest project was over budget, but I could be wrong.
