John Deere 4020 steering arm repair

Broken steering arm makes me shudder. This is a crtically importent part in regard to safety. My guess is don't trust JB Weld to fix it. Send us some pictures.
 
Arm isn’t broken, just trying to tighten up the splines.
Not proud of this, but guessing you can't tighten the arm enough to tighten the splines? I have taken a grinder and have ground down the spindle housing to allow the arm to slide down onto the splines farther. But you have to have the tierod shaft off of the arm to check for tightness. Better just cutting off a 1/4 inch off of the top off the spindle housing as grinding takes a long time and you fill the housing with fillings. You can put a wet rag down the housing to catch the filings but will start on fire sooner or later. Also have to grind an angle on the outer edge of the housing or arm will rub there also.
