Frame looks a tad long for a single axle day cab.

I used to own one of those tractors. A 1953 Ford C750 Big Job. Sold it to a fellow and he build a Toy hauler out of it. He sat the cab on another frame and built the box on the back and hauled antique cars in the back. He put a turbo charged CAT engine in it, painted it Jet Black and chromed everything that he could. It was a beautiful truck.

Nice truck. We forget that there was a time when single axel gas trucks were the majority of trucks on the road.

Early module,(container ) behind it too.I have read about how they started to get popular when they found they could load up,then not have to touch or reload.The idea was great for meats and other perishables.

The '56 Fords were some of the nicest looking trucks, on the road.

332? maybe. i drove a 55 F800 quite a bit years ago, it had a 317, but I think they changed engines for 56.
