Very handy truck

At an equipment repair shop I spotted this old truck. It looks to be a great to for this kind of transmission repair. Simple, heavy and durable.

We had one of those, but they take up an awful lot of floor space. They sit and get junk piled on them, then it's too much bother to clean them off.

There was one of those at the auction last week. I looked at it kinda longingly - but as said they take up a lot of real estate in a small shop so I didn't bid.
Don't know what it sold for
.

They are handy. I have a smallish one in my shed (has a motor and trans on it now) a couple bigger ones the wife has in her flower beds with potted plants on them and I have 2 more that need all new wood. If someone wants to put one together... I have all the metal parts.

I was given a similar, more modern version by a high school . It had been used for gym mats and heavy equipment . I added uprights to the base and a bench top. It makes a really handy mobile workbench with the added bonus of storage underneath . It is so handy being able to move it around a bit to accommodate various projects .

Haha, wrenchere85 is so right about the coffee table trend. Though using one as a mobile workbench like Charles did is way more practical for a shop. Heavy duty cast iron wheels just hit different!
