front shoe bushings MH60 ?

Anybody ever worked on the shoe in a late 1950s MH combine ? The bushings at the front of the shoe are worn out. On the right side there is a little window so you can get at the bushing. For the left side it looks like the shaft has to come out of the bearing and move an inch and a half to the right. The left side bearing is behind the elevator. The shaft does not just slide out of the bearing. I think the 60, 80 and 90 combines are similar.

simple solution. I took a 1 1/2" holesaw and made a hole in the left side. The only tricky part is lining up the hole with the pin accurately. The most difficult part is getting half way inside the machine to reach the nuts on the bushing clamps.
