SM-2039 for a 4010 states inlet valves are set to 0.001” and outlet valves are 0.003” with a picture showing inlet valve adjusting screws upper right and lower left.
TM-1006 for late 4020 describes the following:
Upper left set 0.003”
Upper right 0.001”
Lower right 0.003”
Lower left 0.001”

The one that keep collar .030 below housing surface.i don't. Will most likely make one.

I wish you the best of luck when adjusting those valves. Back when I served as a JD dealer service manager for 13 long yrs I had several so called mechanics under my supervision that didn't get those valves adjusted correctly on their first adjustment attempt. That is one of the reasons Tim S constructed his hyd test stand because R&R of that valve from tractor isn't a fun task.

I have had good luck with 2 heavy flat plates and feeler gauges until I bought the plate. I had issues with the first one 30 years ago at the dealer but success after that, while at the dealer the veteran mech's had me do them.
