Help Identifying a Dip Stick With An Aluminum Handle

This Dip Stick is in the Hydraulic tank of my NAA. It isn't correct for the tractor, and I'm going to get the correct one.
Thought it might be worth figuring out what it does go to, in case it is helpful to someone else. Doesn't look like something that would be re-popped.
Full disclosure it could be from any brand, or any machine. Maybe even a Yugo. lol

Any ideas?

If the original has the loop type handle like an N series I'd stick with what you have. the loop catches on things or gets bent and eventually breaks off. Plenty of them end up in the tractor for later discovery.

From the best of my research, you are right. It is the same dipstick as used in the 8N.
Problem with the M-F one is it sits on top of the tube, and doesn't seal correctly. I could remove the dipstick from the handle, and drill out the handle slightly, but I'd rather see this go to the right home. Also not sure it has the correct markings for fluid level.
Thanks for the great input on the issue of the 8N style catching on stuff. I'll make a plate to help mitigate that.

Ford Parts manual shows a part # of NAA-927-A

Saw a really cool dipstick with a rubber top that might mitigate the issue @Eman85 brought up. But that is PN NCA-927-B (parts book says "except NAA 55/"). Listing shows it from 600 series and up tractors.

Anybody ever compare the two to see if this would work in the NAA tractor? It's spendy, but not as expensive as breaking a dipstick and losing the stick in the tank during snow/mud season.

Side note question: The drawing in the book makes the original dipstick look like a round rod, instead of flat stock. Is that just the drawing, or was the original dipstick made from round rod?

My old-fashioned printed parts manual shows NAA-927-C. Search for NAA927C on the Web and Ebay, it seems to be common.
