Ford 903 post hole auger seals

I had to replace both Input and output shaft seals on my 903. If anyone is curious these are the McMaster part numbers. Mine had a double seal on the output, I just went with one seal when replacing it and it seems to be sealing fine.

If it was my PHD I'd just install grease equivalent to Corn-head grease which is NLGI grade 0. I put CH grease in my JD 709 rotary cutter & Krone AM283S disc cutter years ago without replacing leaky seals. Leak problem solved!!

That's what I did to my post hole auger and no more leaks and didn't have to find and fight putting in a new seal1!
