What was your longest tractor ride?

My longest so far was 36 miles round trip, which I've done 3 times to the same event.

About 14 miles. When we moved to our current home in 1988 and I moved the 2424 I just bought from mom's house to our new one. Still got both, but mom died in Feb.

Last year was to the Mackinac bridge crossing and back, 914 miles in nine days. Two years ago was 1100 miles from western Wisconsin to South Dakota and back, drove tractors on the Needles Highway and more where the Buffalo roam.

I used my JD 4840 to drag a dead 895 Versatile with locked up engine 80 miles home.

It took two days but worked slick as a whistle… ha

30 miles home from an auction, late model JD B so it was slow. Dad and I took turns driving the tractor and waiting in the Chevy nova.

23 miles drive time to get to our most distant quarters on our farm in the '70s many times.

If you count seat time in the field, near 70 miles in one day. I have not baled enough on a round baler to know but I bet a guy could almost double the miles as fast as you can bale.

However, I think the farthest I drove was only 7 miles without a cab in below zero temps with the wind blowing.

Mine was not a tractor but a 750ish MF combine. 85 miles from South of Dallas to NE of Dallas. Did it on a Saturday. Had some hiccups but made it. Boy-son was ahead of me (for the most part) pulling the trailer with the 24' header.....he got bored easily and at times forgot what he was supposed to be doing......like stopping oncoming traffic so that I could cross a narrow 2 lane bridge.

In Wichita county KS, south of Leoti KS, there are a many fields that are a quarter section, a few that are a half, and even a few that are a full section. Dad had one of those, so a full round with a one-way over wheat stubble was four miles. Not sure how many rounds it takes to get it done but it was not all done on one day in the 60s with a LA Case, but that first day was a long one, so I would just say a long ways!

150 miles. I drove an Oliver 77 home from Archbold Ohio in 1969.

Not a group ride, but bought the 8977 at an auction 120 miles away, got up the next morning drove there, drove it home, wife got off work drove back up and got my pickup. Was a lot of miles all together, 120 miles on the tractor.

110 miles, 2010 JD with chopper and wagon full of junk, when I was 14 and my brother was 12. Long day on that guttless wonder. That was 60 years ago.
