What was your longest tractor ride?

About 17 miles, drove the Super 55 out to pull my 73' gmc out of a ditch in the middle of the night with a full moon. Basically was chasing a deer at the time, might of been 1 to many Colorado cool aides, this goes back some 50 years ago..

All Nebraska tractor drive last two years 100 miles each year. Two
Days 50 each day. Started at Franklin Fair Grounds. Drove TO35 first year and Ferguson F40 this year. Over 100 tractors both years in group

The WHO Tractor Ride normally covers 160 plus or minus miles over 3 days. The longest day I can remember was 80 miles. It is not quite like driving that far on your own due to the organized routes, breaks, lunches etc. When I was helping my brother in law with his farming we had to move 50 miles up and down Highway 47 in Illinois. That could be a looong drive going through Morris and points South. He did have cameras on the implements, but it could still be challenging at times.

My dad worked at the local John Deere dealer around 1960. His boss sent him to Salt Lake City, Utah to drive a new JD 45 combine 150 miles back to the dealership in Roosevelt, Utah. He had to take some camping equipment and camp out one night. The dealer also did custom combining and Dad was the operator. Dad left the combine parked in our yard while he worked his day job. One day my mother heard the combine start up early in the afternoon and looked outside to see a little bitty 3 year old boy (Me) at the wheel. It was in gear and I headed across the yard. Mom managed to climb the steps and shut it down before I hit anything. He never left the key in it after that. I drove it about 40 feet. That was the only time in my life that I drove a combine.
