Farmall 450 LP runs lousy/quits

My LP Farmall 450 is full of fuel. And I don't think it is a fuel issue. I think its an ignition problem. Here's what I/we've done:
New points (gapped at 0.20, clean plugs (gapped at 0.15) , new (Chinese) distributor. It doesn't run smoothly, then starts "bucking", then dies. Coil is HOT!!!
Coil??? If so, buy one with internal resistor or???
Other guesses???

No suggestions on your coil, does the tractor have an external resistor in the circuit? What is the advance curve of your Chinese distributor? I think an LP engine is only supposed to advance something like 16 degrees. I would be surprised if the distributor matches it.

Take the air tube to the air filter off of the carb. Then run it, when it starts to falter spray some starting fluid in the intake. If that keeps it going or smooths it out the you know you have a fuel/propane problem.

Plug gap .025 HOT coil bad coil , 450 lp 12 volt . Me i use the org .6 volt coil with ext. resistor. . Then there is the China made dist. more then likely not set to proper advance curve . Now as to what that is i am not sure with out the org dist part number and looking the curve up in the book . . Some OLD GOAT that still has a dist. machine and knows how to use it and redo the centrif. advance could fix it to work right. NOT all dist. work on ALL engines correctly.

yes

In my opinion by a replacement 6 volt coil. There is a resistor bypass circuit on that tractor. When you engage the starter it sends 12 volts(whatever cranking voltage is) from the solenoid to the 6 volt coil for a hotter spark during cranking. Installing a 12 volt coil and removing the resistor eliminates this feature.
