sediment bulb does not seat properly on 560

I have replaced the gasket on top of the sediment bulb. I have a real slow drip that comes down the sediment bulb. Not sure what to try next. I am sure this has happened before.

Gaskets are not all created equal. I have good luck using John Deere H gaskets as they are thick and made of cork. Not 100% sure they fit IH 560. Yours is probably warped a bit as has been said.

Gas or diesel tractor ?
Clean area up good , examine the surfaces for possible damage, old gaskets bowl chipped . Godd gasket at the needle valve. .
If good and clean as soon as fuel is turned on then the fuel will weep from where it originated.

Make sure gasket is installed correctly, tighten lightly, grasp glass portion and turn to seat it into the gasket then tighten fully. Works for me sometimes.

That filter bowel is shot, toss it. Usually the screen is gone anyway. I have started adapting to 1/4" hose and plastic valves and see through inline filters available on Amazon by the dozen made for ATV s which are gravity flow. Doesn't look original but gas is nice and clean.

At one point in time it was over tightened and warped
Set the glass bowl on the base without the gasket and see how much it will rock back and forth. That will tell you if or how much it is warped. They can be pounded back flat but you need to know how to support it properly and where to strike it to get the proper result, sometimes this also breaks them.

John Deere part # C1778R. Measure about 2 to 2 1l8" OD. They are easier to get to seal than some.

Are you 100% sure it’s the gasket…. If so, I use seal all on each side of the gasket. It is the perfect sealant for gasoline and diesel fuel. Any automotive store will carry it. Have had guys replace the gasket only to find it is a fitting or packing nut on the shut off valve

This week I ordered a new sediment bulb assembly. It was about $30 dollars. Should have it on next week.

Thank you for the feedback.
