8830 CIH(Hesston) with hay header

When comes to lifting the header this machine is very abrupt. It lifts very fast and really sudden . Is there a way to soften the lifting action to make it smooth, speed is not imperative . I'm concerned that cylinder might pop a seal. Don't have an operators manual. Any Ideas? Andy This machine has the Hydrocell system.

Not familiar with that machine but on our old Case/Hesston Pa fabricated a hand lever onto the lift pedal for that very reason. It was quite a long lever so it needed alot of movement to move peddle a little.

Andy I have a caseih 5000 haybine and it comes up fast, mostly I think so you can get up and down quick when cutting hay and spin on the turns. You could put some adj hyd restriction valves on it.
