Chevrolet c65 brake parts

Does anyone have a parts source for 1976 c65 chevy truck brake cylinders, and brake booster under the cab. I have not had any luck finding them locally. I have found some on the internet for a c60 but I don't know if they would be the correct ones. This truck uses the dayton wheels and the c 60's use the bolt on wheels, but maybe the parts are the same? I know its 50 years old but how many millions of these things were made, you would think there would be some parts source for them. Thanks for any help or information.

Believe it or not I got wheel cylinders off of Amazon a while back. There is a rebuilder in Indiana that I have sent a booster or two. Cannot remember the name. I have worked on dozens and dozens of these old trucks along with the F series Fords, They are rapidly becoming dinosaurs.

You want to talk to that guy. He is a walking encyclopedia on vintage medium duty truck juice brakes. Just went through the bakes on dad’s C65 last fall. He had all the parts in stock. Had him rebuild the hydravac as well. He’s over by Ft Wayne Indiana but people send him stuff from all over the country to work on.

Thanks for the links and replies, a lot of good information and access to people who want to keep these trucks working., yea I know they are old trucks, but I am 55 and get up and go to work everyday still.

It has been on the backburner but I have a 1979 C-70 (20,000 miles) that needs a right side gas tank. It also needs some brake work.

For my '78, Cardone had the booster (and other parts), and the local Napa had a rear brake cylinder. Rear wheel cylinder was only about $25, but that was about the 12 years ago. Took the guy behind the counter a while to find the correct #, but when he did he found one on his shelf.

But also try RockAuto: More recently (about 3 years ago) I got some parts for mine from them. I can't remember what the model was listed as, if I remember right it wasn't as a C65, but rather just called 'Medium Duty Truck' in their model lookup.

If yours has one of the big-blocks (366 or 427) make sure you wire up your plug wires to stay away from the exhaust manifold. A common problem with them: Those wires hung too close to the manifold/head from the factory and would get cooked. Hard to diagnose when they started running rougher.
