I run across a DB 885 1975 model with loader. What is a reasonable price to pay?
It starts good with no smoke. Transmission seems to work properly. Hydraulics seem to work as they should. Will lift front of tractor with no problem.
Little play in the loader attachment where the drawbar would be. Not sure if that's design or wear?
Metal is in good shape for age. A few dents and dings, but nothing major. No rust other than a little surface here and there.
It is missing the grill, one headlight and the lights on the fenders.

Here, thats a 4000-6000 unit at auction,, 885's are Great units,, we sold LOTS of them

Spoke with the owner today and the engine had a complete rebuild about 8 or 9 years ago.
Is it worth $4500?

to me like I said it is,, I would go see if you can drive it around and test it per say,, see if it fits your needs and wants,,
