When you need a tall perch

Honestly,that looks like a private lane or driveway to me.If it was a regularly travelled road there would be squished grass on the sides from cars pulling over to pass each other.No tire marks either.On any public dirt road there always little spin and skid marks.On private roads the owners don't like to make more work for themselves,so they drive accordingly.

Last time I talked to a guy I know who does drones, he said he flies a small drone and it maps the field, then he loads those coordinates into the big spray drone and basically pushes play. He doesn't have a perch, but we're awfully flat around these parts.

This is a public road, but very lightly traveled and it is rare to meet someone there. BTW, The left side is Illinois and the right side is Wisconsin.

My road is narrow from little traffic. I have many days when no one drives by except mailman spring and fall is busy time. There is about 4 feet of grass on each side to drive on if you meet another vehicle.

You would think they could get the data from the tractor that planted the field to upload the gps to the drone.

That might be an idea I need to invent.

Fair amount of drone spraying now, but I’ve not seen a boom truck involved. I know the rules require visually seeing the drone; as much as they are self flying I’m not sure how many really do. That would sure add a cost to the operation.
