52 Case VA with Rear Steel

About 3 Weeks ago I got this tractor in on trade. Truly, I don't know much at all about the old Case tractors to begin with because they really don't exist here in central NC.
According to the serial number it is a 1952 Case VA. The rear steel wheels are what caught my eye at first, I know early 50s is getting pretty late to be producing a tractor with steel wheels, and I can't find a picture of what factory Case still wheels would've looked like, unless they're the same as the V. I also cant find any casting codes/marks. If anyone could help out on what the rear wheels actually go to, ( or anything to note about a VA/ Older Case tractors) I'd be appreciative. Happy to get more pictures if needed.

Here's a picture that shows the wheels slightly better, Next time I'm home I will be sure to grab a better one. I thought I had one on hand.

The wheel centres look like original Case but I've never heard of steel on a VA. Steel wheels were optional on some models of Case tractors from factory at least until 1957.

As said, the wheels look original, even the weights are correct. The yellow paint, not original. Some dealers painted tractors the new Desert Sunset color that was becoming the style, to help sell old stock. And some individuals did the same to make their tractor look newer. If you take this to a sizable tractor show, you could sell cold drinks and popcorn, because it will draw a lot of attention.

That was my idea about the paint, although its been repainted at least twice, under the hood the top coat is peeling and there is another layer of the "desert sunset" underneath.
I do plan to eventually do a nice repaint on it, Although I've got at least one tractor ahead of it on the priority list. It is mechanically sound as far as I can tell and I believe its been overhauled not too many hours ago judging how the engine runs. Only things that it really needs is a carb clean/adjustment and I believe the starter is on the way out.

I am also curious, Mine has holes drilled near the top of both fenders so I assumed that is where lights would mount. I need to just go ahead and order an owners manual at least.
Out of curiosity, which book is that picture from Nutty? Looks like its got some good stuff in it.
Next time I've got the time I'll try to clean the wheels up and look a little harder to see if I can find some kind of casting code since there doesn't seem to be a clear match for them.

If you look at the pic that Nutty sent it shows where the forward facing headlights mount. They do NOT mount on the fenders.

Thats a Early VAC pic,, only shot I have of it but will look for tail light pics in pics I have,, light looks the same as my 1951 VA came with, lights were not mounted on the fenders like said,, it also shows a early muffler, only one I seen on a VA Series,, guessing its from "V" Series stock

I should've reworded my earlier response, I had just assumed they mount on the fenders until I saw that picture. Makes me wonder if perhaps mine had some homemade lights mounted on it at one time.
