What did the bullet muffler sound like?

Our U has a plain old Stanley on it; likely sized to small. Our Z always had a straight pipe. I guess it originally had under the hood horizontal? What would the U sound like with the proper muffler? It's a bit obnoxious with its current can.

Throaty yet a bit tinny?
I put mine from Mr Little on the 413 (403) in my 21-32 FT and oh yeah, quieted that thing right down compared to a straight pipe.
Don't think I tried it on my UTS. I'll check my videos.

Here’s a mess to decipher! Hope it helps.
If I can do more, I certainly will.
Pete said he used the original style baffles in his mufflers. He was great fun on the phone!
2-13/16 ID inlet, 2-1/2 OD outlet, 32 overall length and the muffler body (the widest part) is just about 5 across and 14 long.
The short weld flanges along the sides of the body and angled pieces are likely 1/4.
They’re a bit over that with the weld included.

Inlet pipe is 4-1/8 long. About 3-9/16 sticking out past the angled pieces. .082 thick.
Outlet pipe is 10 OAL, 12-1/8 to the screen with about 9-3/4 sticking out past the angled pieces. .072 thick.

The angled pieces are 2-1/2 actual length.

1. The Pete Little. For the person that’s never seen one. The baffles inside are laid out in each half, tacked in and to each other then the halves welded together. *EDIT: This is incorrect.
2. Two halves laid together. Inlet. We can see how the baffles fit together.
The first baffle in the top half is 7-7/16 from the (inlet) very end or bottom if stood upright.
The second baffle, in the lower half, is 10-3/16 from the very end.
The next one in the upper half is 13 from the very end and that’s where the gases are forced into the lower half past a formed corner.
3. Outlet. The other end of the baffles. No roll or turn, just flipped it end for end. We can see the end baffle under the screen.
The screen must rest on the last baffle inside.
Looks like weld discoloration near the very end of the tube.
112 and 105. If you can read my scribbling from then. 112 is the upper half above, 105 is the lower half.
Please note the scribbled out, heavy penciled line at the inlet end in 112 is meant for the other half.
I found just two different baffle parts inside, parts 1 and 2.

With a leg connecting the alternating 1/4 moons, yes.
The 1/2 moon we see is the next alternating piece touching the first.
I find that the parts look like this. For simplicity in drawing, we'll say the inside of the muffler is 5 inches.
Yes, I know it's not.
My math isn't working out... The 2-5/8 leg isn't right.

I see that duron700r uploaded a UTS starting with a bullet muffler on yootube today.
