I Know that I have featured GEHL Choppers in the Past. But with the company only a 100 miles from me in Wisconsin. I do have a number of the brochures from them in my collection

I Know that I have featured GEHL Choppers in the Past. But with the company only a 100 miles from me in Wisconsin. I do have a number of the brochures from them in my collection

The neighbors to the south of us had one but maybe the previous series Gehl. I remember it around 1970 as substantially rusted and weathered which was unlike the rest of their equipment. Flywheel harvesters were starting to fade away in favor of cylinder cut machines by the early 1960's. Maybe a reason that Gehl was not quite so dominant after that time. IH and NH had cylinder machines and JD would join a couple of years afterward with its model 34. Towards the end of US made pull type harvesters the cylinder, auger, and blower design was what survived going by what was in the field with NH and JD.
