M and w dyno

I pulled the dyno out today only to find the water froze and ruined the heat exchanger coil. M w is pretty proud of the and I was thinking of installing one from a wood boiler. Anybody see why that wouldn't- work? I would by the largest one I could get in there. We are just doing some tuning on 2 cylinder tractors, maybe we could get by without it?

I have the opportunity to get one that had the same thing happen to it! Could you be so kind as to tell me what the original cooler was made of? Thanks!

Aluminum fins with copper tubes. I have been soldering on it for couple hrs but am going to retrofit a furnace coil from a boiler system.

What model did you find?
How big is the biggest tractor you want to put on it, and for how long?

Not sure of model of cooler but I plumbed in a cooler that's pretty good size. We won't be running very long or very big tractors so I am confident it will work.

The water-cooling coil in mine split during the winter and cracked. Mine was just coiled copper tubing. I drained the oil and pressurized the coil to find the crack, cleaned the area around the crack and soldered it, just like sweating copper pipe joints, easy repair.

This cooler was original and froze everything split and cracked. I think we might have some luck with this setup.

Might be late on this, but to get an idea if the replacement heat exchanger coil is close to right, count the number of passes the tubing makes through the coil and compare it to the replacement, if it has close to the same number of passes and the coil is close to the same height, width and thickness, you should be good.
