Some have too much. Some too little. Here I fell on the high side of average. The drought continues but I received 4.16". That is good compared to the 3.81" last August and 3.7" historically.

Year-to-date I'm 81.58% for my specific station and 76.85% historically.

Some of you guys are really being hit hard. Mine has been persistently low but not brutal. My creek is going into the 11th month empty and its spring fed.

As per the Springfield new this Aug is the 19th dries on record and it isn't looking good for any rain for over a week and temps up close to 100 if not above

We got 2" of rain here in East Central Arkansas in August.

In my neck of the woods we've had 2 showers since late July, neither of which resulted in a recordable amount. You could count the drops in the dust. Basically, no rain for the month of August. The extended forecast calls for no rain for the next 11 days, and temperatures of 100 or over through Sunday.

In my neck of the woods we've had 2 showers since late July, neither of which resulted in a recordable amount. You could count the drops in the dust. Basically, no rain for the month of August. The extended forecast calls for no rain for the next 11 days, and temperatures of 100 or over through Sunday.

I rely on a weather station in my yard. I collected several sources before arriving at the "historical". In the early days I looked at my station vs old style rain gauge to double check.

News just now was talking 6" over most w/ 8"+ locally.

Being on the fringes of the storm we got about 3/4 of an inch so far here but for some reason Texas usually gets hammered!

We are below average for the summer, which is great for me but getting pretty hard on folk 20 miles and more in several directions around me.

Early august was rough with a 2.75, .9, and .3 inch rains in a week. It was good it was dry before and after, or that would be real tough on my crops.

Took a 100 mile farm trip 2 weeks ago, crops mostly look good but went through area with water standing and low spots in bean fields looked drowned out from all year long; and saw Sandy hills burnt to a crisp in other areas.
