1946 BO rocker oil feed

I recently picked up a 1946 John Deere BO. I pulled the valve cover off to check valve clearance and find that there is nothing that would feed oil to the rockers. I see a couple different configurations on YouTube 1.) copper tube running thru block from pump. 2.) A block with fitting that attaches to the center head bolt.
Mine has NOTHING. Is this common for the later years? Did Deere eliminate the rocker oiler toward the end of serial numbers?

Does it have a pipe at the top of the valve cover? That would connect to the governor to lube the valves. Otherwise you may be missing fittings in the block. Not sure how they did the BO's. Ron MN

The JD BO would be the same as the early B tractors. The rocker arms have to be oiled one way or the other. If the valve cover has a trough on the inside top with a hole on the outside top left, it would get oil gravity feed in a tube from the governor housing. Or pressure feed on the inside from tubes and fittings.

check your oiling tubed above the valves. should have holes to spray oil on the exhaust valves only. my 1944 B had extra oil holes over the intakes that some one in the last 80 years had added resulted in excessive oil burning and smoking.
