jd 39 n sickle mower

okay...a debacle with my sickle mower.. the drive ball where the pittman arm connects broke off, can this be weiled back or just go out and buy a new knife..... also where can i get new pitman arm attachments, it seems the dealer said obsolite....

Walt's Tractor Supply has used pitman arms. As far as welding the drive ball, it's worth a shot. Otherwise I would check out Webbs and they should have riveted and bolted knife options.

okay just wondered what would cause it to shear off. not shure how old the knife is, i bolted on complete set of new teeth... it slided thru guards easily...
