high priced diesel & home heating oil prices...

I got a small electric heater for our living room. I turned the T-stat down two degrees for the rest of the first floor and use our cheap solar electric.

Do a little research people. Diesel is high because refinery capacity is reduced. Ukraine is successfully
damaging Russian refineries with drone attacks. Refinery capacity in the U.S. has been shrinking for some time.
"Environmentalists " who ride the dumm a55 to work made building a refinery here cost prohibitive. These same
people should be grateful for President Cheez-Wiz policies,it makes the conversion to electricity more viable. Yep,
these prices are going to hurt. So did the energy crisis of early 70's. Plus side ? If shipping becomes more costly
domestic production improves its' competitiveness. Jobs here not there.

Concerning fuel oil and diesel fuel; North American sweet crude oil is great for refining gasoline, however it's not so good for refining diesel fuel and fuel oil, for which, the heavy crude oil from the Mideast is better.

American refineries seem to have trouble refining anything whenever the price gets too low for them. Oh, you're releasing oil from the reserves? Sorry, we had the capacity to refine Russian oil, but not to refine oil from the reserves.

It's nothing to do with capacity or know-how; it's the basic stock that determines what can be refined from each crude, and how much of each end product it can produce.

It was gas that was high priced because of the orange one's Russian boyfriend. The refiners said they didn't have the capacity, plain and simple. I'll tell you what happened. Oil companies had bought high priced oil futures and releasing the reserves crashed crude prices just as fast as cattle prices dropped two weeks ago. Oil executives said "Oh shirt! We're about to loose a fortune. We have to find a way to keep prices high until we can get past this."

Go ahead and make all the excuses you want to, but the Preamble to the Constitution starts with We the People, not We the Rich, or We the Monopolies, or We the Corporations. Defend them. It's your right. Some of you are going to make excuses all the way to the grave.

AI learns so one step ahead of censor. Apparently you've never heard the story about the Florida license plate ? Personal plate
with A55 RGY assignment, the orange that Florida puts in middle of plate made it read A$$ ORGY. Plate got pulled.
Dumba$$ not dumm a55 ;)

nnalert administration released more from strategic reserve than Orange One. Both have had similar effect on market trading range.
When Captain Don requested to refill SR at $30/barrel Clueless Mule Team said " We're not bailing out the oil industry " .
Hate him all you want. Better to come up with a plan for dealing with high fuel prices. You mentioned selling out. " For sale" sign
at a market peak period is not bad business. Good luck to you and yours.

That's what I'm saying, the previous administration released oil from the reserves and the oil companies, who had bought high priced futures, planning to make money coming and going, all of a sudden couldn't refine it. How smart do you have to be to believe that one?

Given the choice, light sweet crude is preferable to heavy sour crude . The price is the sticking point .

Yep, the party currently in power is owned by the oil companies, lock stock and barrel. Any energy source that takes a penny out of the pockets of the oil companies was a product of the left wing devil and has to be stopped at any and all cost. I was always a member of that party, but somehow, sometime, some sanity and balance has to return. It's time.
Randy, Sounds like Tampon Tim is the answer to all our problems..... :p

Why does it come down to to TDS being preferred over world peace . Along with encouraging those who wish to tear down the west and rebuild it as per their college professors ideals.
