I have the full set, just trying to figure out where some of the smaller ones go.

I thought your post was interesting because I worked in a GM dealership in the paint shop and the OPP would on occasion send over a decal set for a repaired area of one of their cars that had been painted and believe me it's not an easy job and no room for error.

The photos on the Ertyl 16:1 website are very good and I would assume they are accurate.

I don't however see any small decals if this is the same tractor.

I have the full set, just trying to figure out where some of the smaller ones go.

To make this job easier without marking up your paint you are going to need a roll of 1/4 masking tape to mark your reference points and a tailors measuring tape and a lot of patience.
You could even hire an expert from your local bodyshop.

I had the same question when I re-did my 981 Gold Demo. I looked at dozens of pics of other 981s & decided almost all had the same questions!!

The decals I remember putting on required being put on with soapy water and the water squeegeed with a rubber glazing putty applicator the size of a credit card.

And you had to start at the top and work your way down or on a flat surface starting in the middle and working your way to the edges.

My brother had a 1980's Firebird and his decal arrived rolled up in a hard cardboard tube.

It was huge, covered most the hood although I don't recall putting it on for him.

I am guessing at least half a day to lay out the lines and another half a day to put the decals in place.

No second chances with those decals although from what I remeber they can be slide around somewhat before the water is sqeegeed out.
