Hava a 1947 H. I cannot find a proper oil pressure gauge. Those that are available require an extra fitting but one cannot be found that fits the tractor. The tractors oil line that leads to the gauge has a very long nipple on it. Please, advise.

Maybe it’s a 1947? You need this adapter. YT Farmall OP gauge adapter
If you’re worried that it won’t be original I doubt someone will deduct off the selling price due to that.

Then make a new steel line . As to what fittings ?? That may now days take some doing to find . The OLD fashioned parts stores always had what ya needed . NOW the big box stores are a flippen joke .

I believe the gauge thread is 1/8 NPT. If you look for brass fittings with that thread, you should find something without difficulty.

When was the last time you went looking for 1/8 or 1/4 pipe fittings???????. I waisted a half day looking around here . Don't waist your time looking in Homer Depot or Lowes . At our Homer Depot i was told by one of there knowledgeable employees that OH they don't make that stuff any more , Went to the next home store what WAS called Busy Beaver and nope nothing , then T S C nothing , then to the plumbing store Nope checked Auto zone , nope Advance , Nope O rieles Nope . Back before the big box stores that have taken over this town i could walk into anyone of the three real hardware store, one of the three local auto parts stores , the old I H dealer here intown and found what every ya needed . If they happened to be OUT OF STOCK they would pick the phone up and call one of the others and direct you to did have it. At 4:30 that day i drove 12 miles south the the next town that still had one of the last old fashioned hardware store and the OLD guy with wire rim glasses and not moving vary well i asked if he had any 1/4 inch pipe fittings and waddled down the isle and started pulling draws open and had anything and EVERY THING ya needed and OH wait it was all MADE IN THE U S A . Sadly not long after they closed .

It took me a little searching, but they are available. The longest wait was shipping, from USA to Australia, as we use BSP, here, which has one thread more per inch than NPT.
