International C28 mower-- bearing

Anyone know where I might be able to find a bearing for an international C28 mower? It's the bearing on the solid pulley. The local dealer found me the part number but can't locate one. Part # 455310R1

I looked up the number & is comes back as a collar. I'm going to guess it's a retaining collar & not a race or bearing. Also looked & don't have a catalog for the C-28. You should have your dealer look again or hopefully someone here has the PN.

Can you post the link where you found that? As far as I've ever found, there are no online parts books (neither the Case IH parts books site, nor Messick's, nor any others) that list most of the IH pitman mower models. Except for the #22, which both the Case site and Messick's have (for some reason). And of course they also have all the parts books for the later wobble-head 100 and 1000 series IH mowers. But I've never found parts books for most of the IH pitman mowers.

Never been sure why the 22 is the only pitman mower they have parts books for, because it was one of the oddball and less common models: Mid-mount, and a totally different drive setup than most of the other IH pitman mowers. If Messick's does have an online parts book for the C28, I'd like to see it for a few reasons as we have three of those mowers.

As far as sourcing the bearing goes however, I replaced one of mine years and years ago. Don't remember where I got it, but I don't remember it being hard to come by. I suspect I would have just measured it, cross-referenced, and ordered from a bearing supply. But I could be wrong. My grandfather always had a boat-load of spare parts kicking around for those mowers, so maybe he had a spare bearing that I used.

I have found that eBay is an excellent source for bearings , but buyer beware you’re going to have to have a keen eye for details in your selection. But you can save by buying new old stock USA bearings .

Thank you-- that is a big help. There is a bearing place not too far from me. I'm going to call them in the morning.

ST313 , I looked briefly , and it was difficult to locate and when I did it was very expensive. So I went to eBay , not much there as I remember. I had limited time to look at this so .
But don’t give up !
